L-R: Faux, Brave, Please Me, Mehr, Velvet Teddy, Spirit, Twig, Amorous, Captive, Viva Glam I I didn't wear liner for any of these, which actually helps, as I think I often change the colour of the lipstick with liner and end up not liking it so much.

Not only does it work well with velvet teddy but it goes with a ton of other nude shades I wear frequently. MUFE Aqua Lip Liner in C5. I love MAC lip liners too but this one is super smooth and comfortable. Ive also used Spice with Velvet Teddy. One of the most iconic matte nude lipsticks of all time, Velvet Teddy is a Kylie Jenner favourite and MAC bestseller. Never fear though as we have a list of other dupes that are available around the place if you need a cheaper version of ‘Velvet Teddy’ because let’s face it, make up is expensive and sometimes dupes are just better for all involved.

NYX have been the saviours of many a make up wearer and this dupe is available from Boots. A reminder that some of the smaller Boots stores won’t have NYX in stock but you can order it online to be delivered to your nearest store.
Their Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream Liquid Lipstick is also available for €8 and the shade ’Zurich’ is the dupe you’re looking for.
Rimmel London – Trendsetter €8.99

Rimmel has the added benefit of being cruelty free so you know the product you’re getting hasn’t done any harm to animals. It’s available in most Boots stores and again you can order it if for some reason it’s not in your local store.

Boots AGAIN coming to this rescue. The original shade that was touted as a dupe (Mauve It Over) seems to have been discontinued but their range of long lasting lipsticks is new and improved and should provide you with what you need.

Whirl lip liner is a pinkish- brown colour that can be worn with lipstick or just on its own. It is a long lasting colour that only needs to be applied once a day! Whirl lip liner is a perfect lip colour for an evening look considering its darker tones. Whirl lip liner matches with Velvet Teddy lipstick almost perfectly! These two products together look like a match made in heaven. Both Mac products have outstanding reviews, they are completely true to the hype.
