Winamp 5.8 Auto Tag

Howdy.
So, every time I try to auto-tag my music, I get a error that says 'Winamp have stopped working.'
It seems to be crashing when it's many files to update in one go.
So right now, Im in the process of auto-tagging 8000+ MP3's in 25-files cycles, because it seems to be handling that just fine, with an occasional crash. Which is just. horrible.
Anyone have a clue what makes these crashes happen? I've checked for corrupt files, reinstalled Winamp, and tried older versions.
Had a mishap with my music, tried an organizer application, which renamed all my files to Unknown artist and title for some reason.
So the best way for me to have some control of my music is to use Gracenote really.
EDIT: Just got a crash, here is the description, if it is of any help. Using Windows 7 by the way.
